Tomorrow, the 14th of July marks the annual celebration for all French and Francophile enthusiasts, Bastille Day! Bastille Day is what English speaking countries refer to the day as, yet in France it’s better know as La Fête Nationale (The National Celebration) or  Le quatorze juillet (the fourteenth of July)

Bastille Day commemorates the first anniversary of the storming of the Bastille on 14th of July 1789. If you’re lucky enough to be in France for this celebratory day, you’ll find parades, parties and fireworks abound. Yet if you can’t make the trip, there are sure to be Bastille Day celebrations all over the world.
