Abroad101 is pleased to introduce Megan Bauer, Abroad101 Global Ambassador in Brisbane, Australia! Meg will be spending her Spring semester down under in the Northeast state of Queensland, home of the Great Barrier Reef and full of beautiful beaches, and rainforests. We look forward to reading about her adventures on the Abroad101 blog!
Meg is from Pittsburg, PA and is currently a sophomore at Youngstown State University. She is working towards a major in Chemistry on a pre-pharmacy track. She is a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority, Sigma Alpha Lambda, and The National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
Her Favorite travel memory:
“My favorite travel memory, would have to be when I went to New Orleans, LA. It was such a great experience. It was my junior years band trip. I got to perform in The Sugar Bowl in front of thousands of people. Also, the culture down there is beyond amazing! It’s so different than what Pennsylvania is. I loved seeing all the people down there after Hurricane Katrina, and how strong they really are. It’s great to see how everyone bonded together to pull through it.”
Why is Abroad101 awesome?
“I think Abroad 101 is cool, because it helps students, like me, prepare for their study abroad adventure. It also has reviews of a million different places where students went, so that can help someone decide where they want to go. It’s great to have a website where students can actually review their experience and help others in the future!”
